This place is absolutely next level. Makes your tastes buds happy. The best Laksa soup for sure (should called the golden soup). The satay wow and juicy - I can go on and on. Oh yes the Beer too . In NYC we got it all - but we don’t have Satay Brothers. Wish they open up here. Felt like I was back in Singapore . Well done!! Will be back for sure real soon. Carl is best. Great service thanks

Satay Brothers is hands down my go-to spot in the city. The food is unreal — full of bold flavors and totally worth what you pay. The vibe is always super fun and welcoming, and the decor is cool and laid-back without being pretentious. You can’t make reservations, so be ready to wait a bit — but honestly, it’s part of the charm. And if there’s a wait, there’s a small bar right next door where you can hang out until your table’s ready. Must-orders? The bao buns, the laksa, and the Satay Ayam. But honestly, I’ve had everything on the menu and it’s all amazing!!!!

It was really good and authentic, but I was surprised to share table with other customers. It was like the typical street food in thailand or asia. It was still s good experience despite the shock. Definitely will come back for the soft shell crab and the noodle!

Aight look—first off, shoutout to Satay Bro’s for keepin’ it real in the middle of all this poutine and foie gras nonsense. You walk in, it’s low-key, smell hittin’ your nostrils like your friend's grandma's house. Ain’t no velvet rope, ain’t no tryin’ too hard. Just plastic cups. Decor was either passed down through six generations or stolen from a temple mid-monsoon. No explanations. Just energy. The Pork Bao: This ain’t your average cute lil’ bun tryin’ to get swiped right on by a food blogger. Nah. This one’s greasy in the way that says, “Yeah, I know I’m bad for you. What now?” The bao itself? Pillow soft. Like a steamed cloud from a better dimension. Inside? Pork that’s been slow-cooked like it got nowhere to be. Rich, sticky, slightly sweet—like it was basted in heartbreak and hoisin. Little bit of crunch from some pickled veg to keep you grounded, but overall, this bao got main character energy. You bite it, and it’s over. You just nod to yourself like, "Yup. This the one." The Papaya Salad: This one pulls up unexpected. Thinkin’ it’s light, thinkin’ it’s a side piece. Nah—this salad got sharp elbows and somethin’ to prove. Shredded papaya lookin’ like it just came from a jungle, hangin’ out with some fiery-ass chilis that do NOT come to play. It’s fresh, but dangerous. Like a pretty girl with trust issues. Lime juice got everything snappin', fish sauce hits that umami chord, and the peanuts on top? Crunchin’ like ad-libs on a No I.D. track. It’s hot, it’s sour, it’s a whole-ass mood. You’ll be sweatin’ but smilin’. That’s character development. Final Verdict: Satay Bro’s ain’t tryna impress you—they just cook like your mama’s got something to prove. It’s honest food in a city full of imposters. You don’t come here to take Instagram pics, you come here to get humbled by an 11 rice that eats better than a 75 tasting menu.

If you live in Montreal and haven’t been to Satay Brothers yet, you’re missing out. This place has been hyped for years, and somehow, it still feels like a local secret—casual, lively, and full of good energy. We went at 5 PM on a Thursday to dodge the lineup. The staff? So warm, so real. No fake hospitality, just people who actually love what they do. The food? Unreal. The pork belly buns are soft, rich, and perfectly balanced. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy, and dangerously addictive. The satay skewers? Smoky, tender, and that peanut sauce is no joke. Even the fried rice had me scraping the plate. Portions are generous—we ordered five dishes for two and barely made it. Just go. You’ll get it.

A local resident's recommendation led us to Satay, a Singaporean gem that immediately charmed us with its warm and relaxed atmosphere. Our curiosity and hunger were quickly satisfied by a culinary journey that began with an exceptional Laksa. The broth was rich and fragrant, a symphony of spices that left us wanting more. The buns were another highlight, perfectly fluffy and paired with a tofu preparation that was nothing short of brilliant – crispy on the outside, tender within, and bursting with flavor. To complement our meal, we indulged in the Satay Lager, a crisp and refreshing beer that perfectly balanced the richness of the dishes. Satay delivered a truly memorable dining experience, one that we'll eagerly repeat.

We went as a group of 7, we had the group menu of 55 per head, everything was delicious, the service was fast, the food came in delicious and quick as well. Our waiter was attentive and asked if we needed anything often and we really appreciated that. Overall, we had a great experience. We will definitely be coming back. Ps, we had the Calamansi lemonade and it was soooooo good. Just the right balance, not too sweet haha Thanks!
